The Republican National Hispanic Assembly and Trump’s 2020 campaign

With the rise in Hispanic approval after President Trump’s success with the economy, jobs. immigration and tax reform, the Republican National Hispanic Assembly is seeking to lead the charge with Hispanic engagement in 2020. Betty Cardenas, National Chairwoman of the RNHA, recently met with Brad Parscale, President Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign manager to discuss the potential future of the Latino vote. Cardenas, a strong supporter of the President, is confident that her involvement in local politics and national reach will help not only President Trump’s reelection campaign but also the Hispanic American communities she serves.

In a recent article by Real Clear Politics, Hispanic approval of the President has been noted to gone up since 2016.

“In a new Harvard/Harris poll released this week exclusively to The Hill, President Trump’s overall approval rating rose to 47 percent, just two points shy of the highest level of his presidency, per that survey. The main driver of his growing popularity now: a stunning 10 percent rise in Trump approval among Hispanics.

That growing support among Latinos would surely surprise many Trump critics in Washington and the legacy media, who remain fixated on border issues.” – Steve Cortes, Real Clear Politics

This rise in Hispanic approval is not news to the RNHA and it’s members. Many of the Hispanic Assembly’s members have been long time conservatives and long ago realized that the Hispanic American community in it’s core, is Republican. The idea that Hispanic’s are only Democrat and liberal is almost as silly as the myth of the Chupacabra. Most Hispanics come from very conservative backgrounds and practice some form of Christianity, with Catholicism taking the lead. Although the mainstream media and networks like Telemundo would have you think otherwise, the fact is that many Hispanics are Pro-Life, Pro-God, Pro-business and support legal immigration.

John Pence and Chairwoman Cardenas

Chairwoman Cardenas is hopeful that the spark of 2016 and President Trump’s successful administration will encourage more Latinos to get involved in politics and sit at the table with the President instead of protesting and “resisting.” Parscale and Vice President Pence’s son, John Pence both discussed with Chairwoman Cardenas their objectives for 2020 and the necessary engagement with Hispanic Americans and the new generation of Latinos looking to Keep America Great.
