Little Beto Rejects the Constitution
Beto O’rourke questioned the relevance of the Constitution of the United States of America. In a Washington Post interview, he said this
“Does this still work?. Can an empire like ours with a military presence in over 170 countries around the globe, with trading relationships. . . and security agreements in every continent, can it still be managed by the same principles that were set down 230-plus years ago?”
This anti-American rhetoric continues to be a major leftist talking point and is especially concerning coming from Beto O’rourke. O’Rourke is a favored Democratic presidential candidate in the 2020 elections, and he does not believe that our social contract with the Federal Government is relevant today. As Congressman he swore to uphold the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America. How exactly does he plan to keep his oath of office when he feels that the document that binds him to it is irrelevant? He cannot!
Beto O’rourke in this statement openly questioned the validity of our Nation’s founding document. O’rourke and his ilk in response to a rise in originalism are openly challenging the Constitution itself. The Constitution of the United States of America is the lifeblood of this country. It is the foundation for all our laws and legal principles. The Constitution is our social contract with the Federal government. It is the document from which we invested the Federal government with power and authority to safeguard our rights from internal and external threats.
O’rourke has rejected the law he is sworn to upload and as such he broke his oath of office. One cannot keep an oath to uphold a legal document they have rejected in their hearts. In rejecting the relevance of the Consitution, O’rourke spits on the memory of all those who have bled and died for it.
