Biography:

Charles Lopez is a first-generation college graduate born and raised in South Florida. A Miami native, Charles earned his bachelor’s in Public Administration at Florida International University. He continued to earn his Master’s degree in Management and Leadership at Liberty University. He also has earned his Professional Human Resources credential and is sought after for his experience in organizational transformation, employee engagement, policy development, process optimization, and executive advisement. Charles’ first political experience working for Randall Terry for Congress in upstate New York sparked an earnest desire to stand up for truth and for those that did not have a voice – the unborn babies. In 2010, Charles ran for FL State House of Representatives to stand up against abortion, school choice, and religious freedom. After he and his family moved to North Carolina in 2017, he earned his NC real estate license, where he is a Committee Member in the Young Professional Network for Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors. He is also a member of the Alamance County Human Resources Association and is the Chair of the College Relations Committee. Charles is also the Chairman of North Carolina’s GOP Hispanic Republican Coalition and now our State Chairman for the National Republican Hispanic Assembly in North Carolina. Charles is the son of a Mexican-Native American carpenter and a Guatemalan housekeeper/nanny. Both of which taught him to not depend on the government, work hard and put God and family first. Charles is happily married to Glenda and celebrates 16 years this December. He has three kids: Andrew (a deployed US Marine), 27, Sam, 7, and Sarah, 5. Welcome to the team, NC State Chair Charles Lopez.
