The RNHA Endorses Jake LaTurner for U.S. Congressman in Kansas District 2

The Republican National Hispanic Assembly is proud to endorse Jake LaTurner for Congressman in Kansas District 2. Jake LaTurner was born and raised in Galena, Kanas. He is a 6th-generation Kansan who was raised to have faith in God, the importance of family, love of country, and the dignity of work.

Jake attended Pittsburg State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While at PSU he founded the Pittsburg State University College Republicans. Laturner’s first job in politics was running Lynn Jenkins’s field office in Pittsburg when she was running for Congress. Jake Laturner served from 2012-2017 as the State Senator for the people of Southeastern Kanas. While serving on the State Senate Jake worked to pass legislation to transition people off of welfare back to the workforce. He worked with the Farm Bureau to protect Kansas families and farmers by passing a lid on property taxes increases.

He has an A+ rating from the NRA for leading the successful passage of Constitutional Carry. Laturner holds a 100% voting record with Kansans for Life and earned the “2017 Pro-Life Hero Award” for his work on Simon’s Law, which puts parents in charge of their children’s healthcare decisions. Currently, he works as the 40th Kansas State Treasurer. As the Treasurer Jake Laturner has returned 45 million in money and valuables to Kansans shattering the record for the most unclaimed property. Laturner also passed the ABLE Act giving tax deductions to individuals living with disabilities. Jake LaTurner also successfully sued the federal government for their unwillingness to return an estimated $23 billion to patriotic Americans who purchased war bonds during WWII. In 2018, Vice-President Mike Pence publicly acknowledged Jake for his stewardship and leadership for taxpayers in Kansas.

Jake LaTurner is a champion of the people who has lead the charge to easy the finical burdens of the American people in Kansas. He has fought to protect the interests of the American people and has even taken on the Federal government and won.
