The Republican National Hispanic Assembly is proud to endorse Tony Gonzales for Congress of Texas 23 Congressional District. Tony Gonzales is a faithful Catholic who attends St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church regularly with his wife and five children. He immigrated to the U.S from Mexico and is fluent in Spanish.

Tony Gonzales served in the Navy for 20 years. During his service in the Navy Tony Gonzales, he achieved the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. He served as a Cryptologist serving in Naval Information Operations and has been deployed multiple times to support combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has also served a Legislative Fellow in U.S Senator Marco Rubio’s office where he contributed to the defense, foreign policy, and intelligence portfolios.

Gonzales is an active member of the community and founded the Tony Gonzales Foundation, a non-profit focused on empowering and encouraging growth and development in the impoverished areas of San Antonio by uniting businesses, schools and families. He has also served on the Central and South Texas Board of Trustees for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

In 2018, Tony Gonzales was selected as a National Security Fellow for the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. In the same year, he was elected as the Community Representative for the City of San Antonio Head Start Policy Council where he oversees a budget of 32.5 million devoted to early childhood development.
